Heartland NCORP is a collaboration of hospitals, private practices, clinics and treatment facilities that have collaborated to bring cutting edge cancer treatment and research to the people in central and southern Illinois and eastern Missouri. Although our patients live mostly in Illinois or Missouri, they also hail from surrounding states like Kentucky, Arkansas and Iowa
Heartland consists of three primary institutions, all of whom had been directly involved with the NCI’s community research effort that preceded NCORP so they have a long history of clinical trial experience. These three sites are
- Decatur Memorial Hospital
- Illinois CancerCare
- Missouri Baptist Medical Center
Other participants in the Heartland NCORP include :
- Cancer Care Specialists of Illinois
- Springfield Memorial Hospital
- Springfield Clinic
- Southern Illinois University School of Medicine
- St. Francis Medical Center (in Cape Girardeau, MO)
- OSF Saint Francis Medical Center (in Peoria, IL)
